2-DAYS KAYAKING- $240

In the Morning of the first day; our instructors will introduce you to the gears needed for kayaking, equipment selection and boat fitting. We will then spend time on Lake Bujagali learning the basics of safe boat exit and practicing the fundamentals for roll progression. In the afternoon we will spend time working on the basics of kayak handling and maneuvering. We will wind up the day covering different strokes, bracing and the four keys of running the river.

On the second day of the two-day class; we paddle the free-flowing section of the river. When we first hit the water, we review everything you learned the day before—just in case you forgot something (we expect you will!) The rapids in which you will paddle are easy, but real. This is the perfect environment in which to perfect your new skills. We’ll show you the basic moves required to have fun on rivers, and negotiate them wisely.

  4 - 5 hours on the river a day.

Age limit: 14yrs and above

These maneuvers have cool names like:

  •       Peel Outs
  •       Eddy Turns
  •       Ferrying
  •       Surfing
  •       Carving Turns
  •       Ruddering

On the river, we work on the art of making your kayak do what you want it to do! Carving turns, paddling in a straight line, reading rapids, and understanding the features present in every river – among lots of other skills. Every stroke, skill, and maneuver is taught in the same manner—demonstration, breakdown, practice—and always with the support of your attentive instructors.
