Lukeman is regarded by many paddlers on the river as the “teacher” with 8 years of experience. He taught a lot of Ugandan boys how to kayak through the Uganda Kayak Club initiative. After seeing the need for photographers in the rafting industry, Lukeman started accompanying mzungu kayakers down the river using their cameras to take pictures which later turned into his career. During trips, Lukeman is the kayaker who paddles through the rapids first and finds a nice spot below the rapid to get good angles of the action. Lukeman has 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is so talkative and people mistake him to be a young boy, don’t get fooled.
